I want to order a PCD-47(B) but was wondering what sort of case the drive would need to run externally. Does anyone know?

Would it be something like this, or this?

Any help greatly appreciated.

yeah both of those will work.

But, to save cash, just go to Goodwill or the Salvation Army and buy an old SCSI drive for like $5, throw it away, and use the case.

Much cheaper. that's what I did.

I guess you got a 2K, huh?
Make sure the case has a 50 pin SCSI connector inside so the drive can work with that card reader. Also, make sure you have the correct firmware for the -47B card reader so it can read and write to the cards. I think it's the 3.2 firmware.
If you need the manual for the PCD-47B, I got a website for ya...

Yo, Tic, thats a good idea man. I never would've thought of that!

Juke, I have an XL which I already have an IDE/ATAPI reader installed. - This new external reader is for a keyboard. I spent a bit of time searching the forum and found the PCD47 manual from when you posted the link back in Aug '05. Also read about the firmware versions etc.

Thanks & Peace
