chopping

Yo, can anyone tell me how to chop a single sample into different sections. I haven't figured that out yet. Also can't figure out how to use the slide function. I use the 2000

go to trim mode on the pad dog

I know how to cut the sample, but i mean cut one sample into different parts to use seperately.

Im still new to all this but maybe this will help (?)...

Go to trim mode...then go to Zone (maybe F3?)...Once that ish comes up...shift over to where the Zone is now highlighted...click Open Window...now assign how many pieces you wanna chop it into (1 thru 16)...click "Do it"...now your sample is chopped into however many zones you set it at...make sure that in the top right corner where it says "Play" it is set at "Zone" not "All"...from there play with the start and end points of each zone so your ish sounds all nicey-nice...Once your done with that hit "Edit" and scroll to slice sound (I think)...click "do it"...and now the zones are assigned to your pads...

I think thats all...Im not around my MPC right now so I may have directed you wrong in some spots, Im just telling you off the top of my head...It is in the manual as well...and also on various post on this board somewhere

The Classic 2000 can’t do that.. You need to cut and paste each section that you want to be a ‘zone’.

ahhhhhhh my bad...yeah I was talking bout the 2000xl...

I guess just disregard my rambling haha.
