MPC 1k to Reason

I tried to do a search function for this but have come up short. This is probably an extremely newb question but here goes:

I have the 1k routed to my PC via USB. My PC see the 1k as an external memory and I can ecen acess the flash card. Anyway is there a way that I can here it through Reason? I have an outdated Reason software(V2.0). Is it possible to hear the drums on reason? And if so, how do I set the settings for that to happen?

Part 2: Totally a different topic then the previous question. But I am looking to buy a electronic keyboard. I am willing to spend about 3 bills. What features should I be looking for? I have been searching on ebay and there are tons of selection. I don't want to buy something that I will regret later.

You won't "hear it thru Reason" because Reason has no audio inputs.

What you can do is::

1. Use the nnxt or nn19 in Reason to load up some of the same samples you are using in your mpc.

2. Use the mpc pads to control Reason's own sounds. That involves running a midi cable from the mpc to your pc.

3. Use a different software to record some sequenced loops from your mpc, then pull those loops into reason into the nnxt or nn19.

#2 is a good place to start and it's fun .

But, please tell me you have a semi-decent soundcard for your computer or else it will not work to your satisfaction...
