logic 6 users/ midi help

alright everyone,

im trying to connect my mpc so that it is recognised within logic 6. ive tried routing the midi out of my emagic emi 6/2 to the in on my mpc 2000 xl but dont really understand how to get either the computer (ibook G4) to recognise the mpc or the mpc to recognise the computer. i want to be able to sequence the mpc from within logic.
I also would like to know whether i can send samples to the mpc via midi.

ok geeza, u want to set the mpc to receive midi on A for example (make sure the midi is connected to A or the corresponding). in logics sync screen u want to tell it to send midi through ur emi. this will sync them so when u press play on logic, ur mpc will play also.

now have u added the 2kxl in logic? if not u can do it in setup assistant where u should also add the emi (if u havent already)

as for sequencing it all in logic i cant really help that much cos i dont get down like that. im presuming u record all the notes u want played in a midi file using the matrix.

but why not sequence all the mpc stuff in the mpc and the vst's in logic?

nice one mate. soz for bein a dumbass but i cant figure out how to tell logic to send midi through to the mpc. i've looked for a sync screen but cant find it.
Is there anyway as well to assign each pad to adifferent midi channel?
