My dad found a cheap 1 gig jaz drive with a disk and the actual card hardware it connects to, so he bought it in hopes it would work with my MPC2000 calssic. So far I still can't get my 250meg external zip drive to work, so going to an internal jaz looks like a good option(I know they can have problems, whant can't these days). The internal jaz drive I got is the same size as the floppy disk drive so thats where I would mount it obviously, but I would need to convert the connection from what I think is a 50 pin SCSI to ATAPI IDE, and I know they make these converters: http://www.mpc2000xl.com/Internalhd.htm
but would the MPC2000 read it?
I was also wondering, since I have the card that the drive connects to, could I replace the SCSI card in my MPC entirely, instead using this card with the 50pin connection to the jaz drive? I assume the 50 pin card is made to fit in a pc so I think the IDE/50 pin converter is a better option, but will either idea even work?
And yes, I already searched for this, for a long, long time.
Help is appreciated.

Ok I just opened it up and it looks like idea #2 attaching the the jaz drive with its intended card will not work. So does anyone know if idea #1, converting the jaz drive to fit the IDE connection will work?

Should I spend my hard earned money to buy this IDE/SCSI converter?
