So I have thi solder vinyl player and was wondering what exactly is necessary for me to be able to sample from it? Do I need a mixer which I then hook up to my computer(how exactly does that work?)? Or would I just need a special sound card and hook the vinyl player directly to my comp. Obviously Ill be using it to sample records. Thanks for everyones help.

if your using a software sampler in your comp you'll need:

turntable out to mixer in
mixer out to soundcard / interface in

you can sample right into your mpc (you have one right?) if you want. but i would run it into a mixer first, then into whatever your using to sample

What kind of mixer do you mean? Like a DJ Mixer or a normal mixer with lots of sliders (sorry dont know the right terminology) ?
