Installing Memory!!!

I just got some memory for my MPC2000 (nonxl) and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on Installing. Is there already a memory stick in there? And shoudl it be removed? I know it has only two slots and I got 2 new 16MB Sticks. Any info would be great...
