basically I thought I knew what the **** I was doing, but after reading some of this shit I guess I don't know shit. We are putting a record together and we plan on getting it mastered so I want it to sound as good as possible. I am recording my tracks on seperate tracks in Sonar so I can get a better mix. But when I listen to the tracks in my car they don't have the same audio quality as they do when I listen to the with my cans plugged into the MPC. I know this is kind of a double post as I have asked this question vaguely before. Is it my soundcard? I am using an Advanced Audigy! The MPC and my Keyboard are hooked up to my mixer and the mixer is hooked up to my computer. Anything someone could suggest would be great;y appreciated.

Peace!!!

no wonder. dont mix with your headphones on. do you have monitors?

you have to find the right mix for your monitors. you should try doing a/b comparisons with other radios (like a boombox). find a good mix. you have to know how your monitors/speakers sound so that it translates right onto other systems

same songs will sounds different coming outta different systems and setups.

best thing to do to try and make it cool on most systems is some flat response monitors like smoov and pad is talkin about. then learn how to eq better using those....
