Transfering files from MPC 2000XL to Mac.....

I'm having a huge problem transfering saved beats from my memory card on my MPC2000XL to my mac. I get a message saying that the file is not recognizable. My Mac has no problem reading other .WAV files, just my beats. I searched and cannot find any answers! Please Help!!!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! I run the OSX 10.4 on my Mac.
