Is the Mpc Compatible with Acid for external sequencing

I really need to know if you could sequence midi tracks with the 2 devices and was also wondering how its done. I need help fast!!!

Yes, acid can used as a midi sequencer.

the acid manual breaks ALL of that down to you..

also peep the manual of the 2 devices that you are connectiong to acid.

Acid Pro 5 (Master Sync) w/ MPC2kxl
Generate MIDI Timecode = F7 *turns on/off*
Options, Preferences, MIDI tab = choose MIDI port for generating Timecode.
Options, Preferences, SYNC tab = SMPTE non drop 30 frames per second.

Vegas 6 (Master Sync) w/ MPC2kxl
EXACTLY the same as Acid Pro 5 (menus are EXACTLY the same)

Sound Forge 8 (Master Sync) w/ MPC2kxl
Generate MIDI Timecode = F7 *turns on/off*
Options, Preferences, MIDI/SYNC tab = Use drop down menu for MIDI port choices.

MPC2kxl (slave)
MIDI in 1.
MIDI MMC = receive off
Frame rate 30

I just got my mpc to record a softsynth!

I cant succsessfully make new tracks though.

When I add a new midi track it plays the same performance with the wrong sound. (The last track I made)

same seq, different track,, different midi channel number for each patch on the keyboard.. try that.

It still isnt working dude. Im thinking about switching over to this version of Cubase Le I have and use Acid pro for other things until I figure this out. I cant beleive this for real.

I think your mpc is the issue man. A midi track is a midi track. The software does deligate what it plays, the hardware does. Read lampdogs comments again. I image you are a. in the wrong sequence, b. in the wrong track, or c. you didn't set your midi up correctly.

Maybe your right about that, maybe I didn't set up the midi right. Does anybody know if you have to restart the program or your computer to save changes made to Acid and your mpc? I use an E-Mu 1820 Soundcard which has a midi interface, I dont know if anybody is familiar with my equipment but Im sure someones done this before.

Im using free vst's that came with my mikrocontrol. They dont have 16-track midi capabilities. I cant even edit and save sounds. Its called Native Instrument Xpress keyboards. Im usin those as my sounds until I get some money. I use battery 2 sometimes but lately I found that loading wav samples into the mpc was better because the the mpc's audio out/volume/amp sounds better than midi to me. I just wanna be able to sequence the vst sounds in my MPC so they will blend up right with the beat and so I dont need to record in Acid. Kind of like using the vsts like my Triton where I could line the midi channles up.

Im supposed to stay in the same sequence right? What about any of the midi/sync settings. I really didn't understand this

because I dont even know what Midi MMc is and I didn't know the mpc had a frame rate. I got the midi ins and outs hooked up so they should be communicating. I can record one track but if I try to do a second one it plays the same melody/performance on just another instrument. , even though I insert another midi channel in Acid and change the channel on the MPC.
