mpc1000 sequencing

hi...i looked for a tread about this but couldnt find it. The futureproducers review (which is from 2004 and regards the first OS i guess) states that the mpc 1000 is like a "music sketchpad". What do you people think of this? I currently have mc505, sp404 and ableton live and reason. Would the sequencing capabilities of the 1000 dissappoint me? btw i dont make colossall mastodont classical pieces. cheers

Sequencing on the MPC 1000 is quite powerful, you can get down on most parameters you´re used to from a software sequencer. It´s not that graphic besides from a bunch of numbers so there might be some gettting used to if you come from computer based sequencing.
I have´nt used the mc 505 or sp 404 myself but I´m convinced the MPC 1000 outruns all of them on the sequencer part.

I suggest you download the manual and check for yourself how the sequencing works and what functions it has.
