Does anybody use electronic drums?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody makes hip hop beats with an electronic drum set?

I make some beats with like software demos for fun right now. I haven't had the money to invest in any sort of equipment lately. I do know that I want to get into making music. And programming drums with step editors and drum pads doesn't seem like my thing so I was wondering if anybody does it with E-drums. I feel thats the best way to get your swing on and stuff.

yeah, some of those kits look like they'd be fun, but i don't have any experience with them other than just fooling around at my friends house. You could probably get a nice swing going with them shyts though. Since i got an mpc i prob. won't be getting into anything like that, at least not in the near future. I have gear priorities and thats far from the top.

They are gay. I had a set before and took it back. For 1 its hard to tell what mpc pad corresponds to what drum set pad. For 2, Even with the timing off the mpc doesnt record drum rolls correctly, it still sounds digital. So What I did was take bak the digital drumset and bought a real drum set and a mic so I can just play on my beats live.

this is a good extra for the ones that want to use drumsticks for some reason.

Roland have a new set thats about to come out
