:lol:
I want to connect the MIDI ins and outs in the following things:
-MPC2000
-Roland Fantom
-PC running Acid with VSTi's
Here's where I'm getting confused:
-I want to sample and sequence everything in the MPC, then use 8 outs through a mixer into Acid for the final recording.
-I want to use the sounds in from the Roland Fantom
-I also want to control VSTi's with the Keys of the Fantom
-I want to utilize the fantom with the MPC as much as possible also (mapping samples to scale the keys?) and whatever else I learn as i read manuals
Is it possible to do all these things without switching cords around etc?
Is it possible to use the Fantom to controll VST's and still sample and sequence everything in the MPC? (kinda like a module?)
Thanks for help!
Peace

midi out A mpc ---> midi in Fantom
midi out fantom ---> midi in MPC
Midi local Fantom set to Off.

midi out B mpc ---> midi in PC

8 outs MPC ---> mixer
Audio out Fantom ---> mixer

Connect the outputs of the mixer to the audio interface inputs of your pc

Still kinda confused
-I run the fantom audio out into the mixer then into the PC input how do those sounds get on tracks in the MPC?
-With this midi setup will the fantom still be able to controll VST instruments for recording into the MPC?

The fact that you have a midi connection between the fantom and the mpc will make that you can sequence the sounds of the fantom with the mpc sequencer. MIDI and sound are two related yet different concepts.

And yes the fantom will be able to control the vsti on the pc if these vsti's respond to midi ctroller data that can be sent via the knobs and keys of the Fantom.
