I have the mpc1000 and the korg microkorg at the moment. Im also going to buy the krk rp5 monitors and a turntable. My question is what kind of dj mixer should I get? Im not sure how many channels I need, Im thinking i need one with 5 or 7 channels. Are their any mixers out there that are pretty cheap or at least under 180$? Any suggetions would help. One more question, would the Numark PT01 turntable be good for sampling?

I dont recommend a dj mixer though it will work. Try something like the Mackie DFX12 nice mixer with onboard effects and stuff. Its many more but im jus namin that one cause its a good mixer to use.

Why shouldnt I get a dj mixer? I was told that I would need a mixer with a pre-amp which would be a dj mixer. Does the numark pt01 turntable have a pre amp? Well if I dont need a pre amp how about the yamaha mg8 mixer?

Do you know if the yamaha mg8 mixer is any good? I was also checking out the behringer VMX1000. I do not have a lot of money to spend so Im going for somthing cheaper.
