Another dumb question.. i'm sorry but I'm hungry about knowledge of making music. Does anybody ever try to make music on Reason?? with keyboard?? and MPC?? What I would like to know is: Is it possible to record a sound from Reason to a MPC by hitting the key on a keyboard?? And what kind of equipment (MIDI cables, Interfaces,Soundcards)

Maybe a basic Midi/MPC setup sticky on the forum (and maybe a card reader sticky too!) might help defer a lot of the more basic questions? Just a suggestion.

You can connect the Midi out of the keyboard to the midi in on the MPC and the midi out on the MPC to the Midi in on the Reason computer. The computer will need a Midi interface for the Midi in and it will also need a soundcard to output the sound from Reason. With this setup Reason can now be controlled by the keyboard and/or the MPC.

Midi data does not contain actual sounds just the information that triggers the sounds on other devices e.g synths, soft synths, Reason, drum machines, modules etc.
