I have an old Yorx record player. Now if I'm sampling with this thing and like say I pass a good part to sample if I stop the record with my finger and spin back to the spot will that wreck it?

I was just wondering because people say that u shouldn't back-spin records like that on the numark pt01.

yeah, technically your not supposed to backspin on a regular turntable. But i do it all the time for years and it is all good. just don't get too rough with a regular turntable. One thing that I picked up was a slip mat so now there is less strain on the turntable when i backspin against the direction the plate is going.
