why cant you resample( reason as a sound module) to a wav

i made a beat using reason as a sound module. but everytime i try to resample the outs the sounds i m using arent there. is there a way i can use the sounds when i sample out?any info would help thanks!

Because midi doesnt transmit sounds. Sample the outs from your mixer instead

I don't know but figure it out and post in the correct forums next time please. Not the 1k forum, this has nothing to do technically with the inner workings of the 1k.

exactly...take an output that you aren't using on your mixer or soundcard that u have and plug it into the Record In inputs!

I managed to do it somehow but the results sounded horrible. It must be a setting i've got somewhere but it was phasing like no mans business...

Either you mute the channels on the mixer receiving the main outputs from the MPC or turn of "Monitor" in record mode.
That would solve your phasing problems. Now it all feeds around so you get the monitor signal from the MPC rushing through the mixer, into the MPC´s inputs again. You get the identical signal a little delayed and on the verge of feedback which is causing the phasing.

It was a while ago when i did it but i'm sure i had to utilise input thru somehow

Spirez, how have you set up your gear? Are you going thru a mixer at all?

No all i've got is my MPC and my audio interface.

I've also got Cubase SX but haven't figured out how to track the MPC to Cubase yet.

Getting a better interface soon so that i can track at least 8 at a time

with the internal souncard, "no asio" and the Audacity program it will work, put your soundcard to stereo mix in the recording tab, minimize Reason and open Audacity and hit record and press play on the MPC it will record the internal sound, i have done it as of yesterday, so give it a try, i had success only with this program, then you have the Rewire Method with any DAW, i hope that helps.

go to the file menu in reason.


choose export sequence as loop.


and there you have it, a wave file loop created from your reason sequence.


the manual works wonders, or you could join the forum on the propellerheads website.

I knew how to do that, lol.

But i wanted to find a way to record the sounds all within the MPC so that i could resample it to a WAV then burn it to disc straight away.
