im doing my very first dig tomorrow and im confused with hooking up my turntable 2 my mpc....(im not sure which mpc im getting yet)...heres how i think it has to be hooked up

do u have to put the guitar jack out from the turntable into the phono amp...and then av jacks out from the phono amp into the mpc??? or what :?: :?: :?:

Turntable to mixer and then mixer to mpc Record IN.

Not sure what u tryin to do cause u say diggin then u dont have a mpc so i guess u gettin some records and an mpc tommorow. Hell if i know.

is this mixer your talkin about a reciever or an amp that records the signal to the mpc???........and yes im getting it all tomorrow

no, if you have a mixer for your turntables, you run out of the mixer and into the line in on the mpc. Only use the phono in on the mpc with a record player standing alone. if you only have a turntable then yes run it into the phono input.

Just put it like this whatever u decided to go with note that if u want to record it into the MPC u need to ROUTE the OUTS to the RECORD IN on your MPC which offers MONO or STEREO. If u have the optional 8 outs u can record digital in. But thats another story.
