removing sounds

Hello, I saw a post on here for removing sounds but cant seem to find it now, can any1 point out the link, or tell me how to remove the drum sounds when recording a lead off records.

you can't fully remove a sound, from what I know of, the only thing you can do is apply a filter to remove certain frequencies.

..and/or remove mono/stereo.

the thing is im sampling strait into my s950 and from what I see the filter only tackles one jb, which is great for bass but little else,. I ahve checked the filter on the MPC and I can only get it to go the same way but it also has resonance on it also , I thought that it would be a better idea using like a HPF or notch, do you find that? another thing I was toying with last night was EQ on my mixer,. I am just a baby to this so forgive stupid ass questions but is there a way I could filter out the highs on the MPC?

Use a software wave editor, if you don't have the feature inside your gear you'll have to take the sample elsewhere.

You can use the delete and silence function which i use alot to remove snares and other hi sounds.

I shall search it out on the manual.
