drum machine?

Would it be a good Idea to get a drum machine if I dont have a mpc, just for drums?

Why not get a MPC?? They are great drum machines.....

I got a multi-track recorder and a cheap ass keyboard, but my recorder can loop the drums so I have to play the drums for the whole song, so if I just get a drum machine maybe I can use that to loop the drums i make. you know?
