get yourself a copy of the reference manual and read page 182.
put simply, the presets (speech, vocal, dance etc) are intended for specific timestretching needs to give the best results. some work better with vocal samples while others are more suited to strings.
MOST PRESETS ARE ALSO NUMBERED 1,2 + 3.
1'S ARE TYPICALLY FOR SAMPLES WITH HIGH FREQUENCY CONTENT
2'S ARE TYPICALLY FOR SAMPLES WITH MIXED HIGH AND LOW FREQUENCY CONTENT
3'S ARE TYPICALLY FOR SAMPLES WITH LOW FREQUENCY (BASS) CONTENT
A=NORMAL AUDIO QUALITY FAST PROCESSING TIME
B=MEDIUM AUDIO QUALITY MEDIUM PROCESSING TIME
C=HIGH AUDIO QUALITY LONGER PROCESSING TIME
