using a keyboard to control a sample

I know I can sample (or load) a bass sound and control it from a keyboard but can I play all sixteen levels like on the MP itself?

Yea that is possiable as long as you have everything conencted right.

When you do 16 levels on the mpc, you can only work those 16 sounds on the MPC not the keyboard. In order to "spread" the sample across the keyboard you will have to auto chrom. it. Im at owrk right now and cant picture the steps that you have to do to do this. Sorry, but it is in the manual.

I probably dont know what Im looking for...but I cant seem to find in the manual where it talks about "auto chrom" or spreading a sample across a keyboard. Any idea where I should look?
