i have my keyboard and mpc hooked up with midi and everything works. The problem is that when i record a sound from my keyboard to the mpc then switch and try to record another sound to the mpc, the mpc records only the last sound and the first sound i recorded is gone i cant figure this out holla back

It would help big time to give more info like what keyboard are you talking about, type + brand. I did not major in mindreading. :wink:

Well if your keyboard isnt multitambral(use more than one midi channel at a time) then its not gonna work. If you have one of those yamaha or casio keyboards more than likely its not gonna work inless u have one that is up there in price range not really a cheap one.(one with like a sequencer and stuff.)

Make sure record all the different sounds you want to use on different midi tracks/channels on your mpc

Your Keyboard also needs to be in "Multi Mode"

i dont know if this would help, but whatever set-up you have...try making sure that

-when recording a midi track to your mpc, select midi, prgm off and say for instance midi channel 1a

-make sure you midi controller or whatever is on track/channel 1

-make sure whatever you are gettin your midi sounds from is on 1

- for the next track go to channel 2a on everything and so forth
