PAN'in on the 60 II

ok so i no how to pan a single sound
but what if i want to pan the same sound back and forth?
do i need to make a seperate track for each time i pan?
is there another way to do so ?
also volume control is this done the same way (buy turning the volume up a little bit in each track )or is there also a easies way to do this
