My First day with my Mpc 2k xl -need help

Hello peopel!
It's my first day with the mpc ...and i have a problem.
The problem is when i record a easy seqeunce for exampel -Bass drum + snare etc. and i want it to play i hear that but it's 40 times faster than i played it-something like drumn bass and not hip hop...Can somebody help me ? pleasss !

I am sure that manual will be useful for you...I am from slovakia and I had a lot of problems with my MPC. It was kind of hard for me to read whole manual in english
