Reason As A Sound Module With MPC 2500

To use Reason 3 as a sound module with my 2500, do I have to Rewire Reason into a host such as Nuendo to be able to direct record sounds from Reason into my MPC? Or can I set it up like the guy did in the vid? It just looked like he was syncing reason with his MPC instead of recording sounds into it in the vid.

reason stereo out -> (mixer if you have one) -> mpc stereo input. no need for rewiring, but you can if you want to (maybe for using more effects from your daw...). i sometimes rewire reason to live and connect live to the mpc. this give me more flexibility for processing the sounds. if you want the mpc sequencer to control reason you´ll need a midi connection, too.
turn input through to on if you want to use direct recording, or sample the reason sounds in the normal record page.
