MPD16 and FL Studio 6

MPD16 and FL Studio 6

i'm trying to make some beats with the MPD16 in FL studio - the sounds are coming thru, but when i record, the beats i hit are condensed into the first beat and the rest of the bar is blank. tried viewing some tutorials and the hardware seems to be set up correctly, no idea what i'm doing wrong. anybody know what's going on?

set quantize to steps instead of bars
