mpc1000-mixer -midi keyboard problems---

i got a mmidi keyboard which has its own speakers-and i got my 1000---
what i want is hear my beat through my speakers-(whichh are connected to the mpc) and play my keyboard at the same time but hearing everything through my own speakers not the keyboard's....
so i need a mixer rigth????

now i have i mixer--and what i gotta do is connect one midi cable from my mpc to thte mixer and another one from my keyboard to the mixer------

but i just noticed that my mixer's midi connection is bigger than my midi cable------

what can i do about it ??

You have it all confused.

MPC MIDI OUT to Keyboard MIDI IN
Keyboard MIDI OUT to MPC MIDI IN

MPC OUTS to IN on mixer
Keyboard OUTS to IN on mixer

Connect monitors, speakers, or headphones to mixer.(main or control outs then headphone outs if u use headphones.)

BOOM!! Its done.

p.s you mixer prolly had XLR inputs NOT MIDI INPUTS. Go to www.tweakheadz.com you REALLY should read around on that GUIDE.

Use the headphone output if there is no STEREO OUTPUT.
