sup fam..

ive been upping threads all day but i still cant figure out how the concepts of midi. i do know its not audio. but im having trouble figuring how to hook everything up.

before i was all audio with FL and cubase. now i wanna work my XL into the equation and dump FL as my sequencer. i just wanna keep it to use as a sound mod and to rewire my tracks into cubase.

i wanna use FL and Reason as sound mods. i have the tascam audio interface with 2 MIDI in/outs. the radium 49 with usb MIDI and regular MIDI and the XL.

i appreciate any help with this..

Whats goos boss?? Well im still trying to grasp it myself but from what im picking up so far is i routed my midi keyboard from "midi out" to the mpc's "midi in"...then i am running a "stereo out" from the mpc to the input of my soundcard. Also a usb from mpc to the pc. Which so far seems to be working ok i just need to figure out how to track into my softwares like acid because i dont like tracking in reason, i just want to use reason as a sound module.

Hope this helped in some way, if not be a little more direct on what your having a problem with and ill try to get you right if i can...but keep in mind im still building myself sooooo im not the most knowledged in this but ill do what i can to help.

Tweakheadz.com helped me to understand midi a long while back and I'm ok every since then and I read up more and understand more and more everywhere else I go.

Em, what exactly is the problem?

Harry, what version of Acid are you using when trying to track audio. If I'm not mistaken only Acid 6.0 will allow you to track audio into Acid. I have used Vegas for years as my tracking DAW.

MPC / Triton audio -> Digi001 break out into -> Vegas tracks.

i think i have it figured out..

mpc2000xl MIDI out to tascam 1082 MIDI in, tascam 1082 MIDI out to mpc2000xl MIDI in. radium 49 MIDI out to mpc2000xl MIDI in. radium 49 USB MIDI out to tascam 1082 MIDI in..

i wanted to somehow track midi into FL then somehow convert to audio, then rewire into cubase...
