need to sync

i,m using a 4000 and a triton studio , now i want to dump my tracks into a aw4416 digital board , i need to sync up the 4000 and aw4416 togather . i want the aw4416 to triger the 4000 to start playing when i hit record and play on the aw4416. i went the the sync on page on the 4000 , don.t understand i,m new to this midi thing . should my aw4416 be the mtc master or slave . how many midi cable i need to connect all three triton ,aw4416 ,mpc4000
