whats good my new mpc family. i just purchased the CLASSIC mpc 2000xl. now im kinda screwed cuz i have nothing to sample. i cant make up my mind whether to get a dope ass keyboard/synth/workstation, or some turntables and mixers along with the records of course. to me it seems like i cant have one without the other. i know everybodyz gotta start somewhere so thats why im asking for everybodys advice. what would be the best alternative for my current position. im open to suggestions. thanks yall. peace.

really depends on how you like to get down fam ...

i use sound modules ALOT very rarely sample .. and if i do i dont use the MPC because my PC has so many more tools for sample creation /tweeking ...

to make a long story short .. you gotta do you .. experiment ..
thas why they call studios "the lab"

ey thanks for the suggestion sinister. i was wondering about those sound racks. how does that work exactly? can i get any old keyboard and plug those modules into em and get the sounds from a motif or fantom on some basic keyboard?

^^ the short answer is yes .. a rack module is a keyboard without keys.
