problem loading kits on my mpc1000

I have a bunch of drum kits on a dvd disk. My problem is whenever i load any of the kits into my MP i get a distortion noise everytime i hit a pad. This happens with every single kit and the thing is i dont get that same distortion noise when i just play it directly from the disk. i appreciate the help

are the files in proper format?

yea the files are proper format. when i try to add the folder with the drum kit each sample has a clicking sound towards the end of each one
