MIDI help for non-user

I am posting for a friend who is a sight-impaired 4000 user. He does well with the MCP but he has a hard time with manuals and Internet issues.

He would like to export MIDI versions of his sequences to send to me for importing into a DAW. He thinks his DVD writer is not working.

I found this in some promotional literature:
“You can export MIDI and WAV files through the USB port.”

Is it possible to use a USB micro-drive or move a USB based HD between the 4000 and a PC?

Any other ideas to help us trade files would be appreciated.

I downloaded a PDF of the 4000 Manual but it has no information on exporting MIDI.

you have to install the akaisys software onto your computer first before the exchange can take place
