How do you assign a sample onto a pad

So heres the deal, i just sampled some sounds off of my tutntable, what do I do to put them onto a pad. I did it a little earlier in the day, but I cant figure out how I did, I know i did something with the 16 level button. Thanks

When u sample and you are finish sampling it allows you to choose a pad and to name the sample. Not sure whats the problem with that. Like when u hit SHIFT + Sample you will be in the recording screen. Once u press START to start recording and you hit STOP to stop it or u are done then a screen pops up that gives u as i stated above a choice of renaming and then assigning to an pad. Two ways: 1.You have the option right after you sample it by hitting the pad which you want it to go to or, 2. In the index of your manual, look under "prgm field"
