Song files only play on the MPC.

you gotta record your beat into your computer. then save it as a wav or mp3.

If your PC reads MIDI files, you'll need to convert your song, consisting of two sequences, back into a single sequence before your PC will read it correctly. See - "convert song into sequence" in your users manual for the detail but it's pretty easy....

"ALL" files are ONLY readable by your mpc.

Read your manual to find out more about the different file types your mpc accepts and what is contained in them.

Telling us what mpc you have would might make a difference in the response and advice you get.

Turn it into a wave, go with what Smoove said.

Depending on your MPC u could RESAMPLE(mpc500,1000,2500,& 4000) or take cables from the STEREO OUTS(L&R) to the LINE IN on your soundcard and either record one whole song or indivually track your sounds.

i own me a mpc 1000 and been tryin to figure this one out for min now.. aight I "resample" my song that i jus converted but no matter what its always at a lower and weaker volume.. and normalize BARELY gets it up there... ya feel wud i'm sayin? when i play my song its "loud" at normal volume, but when i play my song after i resampled it...i have to crank up the volume all the way to max and its still barely loud even AFTER normalize?

what could the deal be here? i'm thinkin it has to be somethign in my connections... but i can't call it..

waht yall think?

Maybe when you resample, the mpc takes into account ALL of the volume settings, ie, the current mixer settings, the volume knob setting and/or other settings, look into that and see what happens with it.
