so I want to connect my microkorg to my mpc, so I can record whatever im playing on my korg to the mpc w/o sampling all the time.

so I put korg midi out to mpc in

mpc out to korg in.

I then connect the mpc and korg into the audio ins of my multi-channel mixer so I can hear both.

Under "drum" in the main screen, I change it to midi: 1a or 1b, 1c, according to what track im on.

I then record the keys from the korg right?? What is this talk about one sound being able to be recorded on the mpc? Can I do a bassline on track 1, and a melody (from korg using different sound) on track 2 and 3 for an example??

lastly, the external clock thing people are talking about.. what if I dont want the korg's tempo to be displayed on the mpc...

thanks a bunch.

not with the microkorg, its not multitimbral meaning it can only play one patch or voice at a time....

So does that mean I can only use one sample on the microkorg on every track?

then that means I would have to sample some of the grooves eh.. ok.
