i've heard some dope beats made with less...
and some bad ones made with a lot more.

only thing i'd add is some outboard effects units,
they're handy for live sets.

but definitely just spend some time with what you
got before you confuse the issue with more gear.

IN MY HUMBLE OPINION (with some humour)

Yeah, you need 1 PIECE of cool analogue gear bro. Moog Voyager Rack, SunSyn, Andromeda, Poly Evolver, Studio Electronics gear. Perhaps, analog Drum Machine.. Jomox. Or Vintage stuff like the Prophet, 303, (or the Future Retro Gear). Lot's of Analog Mono synths out there too. Check out EBay. Searing sounds babe, just searing. Get Analogue Effects too... mmmmm, so yummy.

Better yet, save your money and create your own MODULAR SYNTH!!

GET IT ALL TURN IT ALL ON AND LEAVE THE ROOM... ANALOGUE GEAR MAKES IT'S OWN MUSIC. Just Kidding.

For new gear check-out online stores; Analogue Haven, Nova Music, Big City Music. It's so good, you can taste the sound. (hmmm, I think I'm hungry)

Of course you could go without, but since you're asking. Oh yeah, if you get vintage gear, make sure it's got MIDI!! GOOD LUCK.

you will need ... ... umm massive drums , massive sounds. massive samples, creativity and most importantly- time invested. Its sounds like you got everything from the beat makers to the tracking and mastering. Mabye you get a tube stereo reel to reel to run your track through after its finished but you dont really need that. It would be just more money ...you got everything to make music and more so my advice would be to chill out on the spending frenzy; I am a victim of it myself and recovering addict. "most importantly time :o

pz and goodwill to ya
