Real simple question on mic's

Im about to buy an mpc 2500 tommorow, i've never had or used an mpc before but one big question i have is, can you plug in a mic to record vocals? if so do you get any disturbance sound's? when i recorded vocals from my pc i always got a bad hiss and had to use noise reduction wich reduced the sound quality on vocals.

Any helps much appreciated!

get yourself a USB studio mic its not exspensive and you get no hiss at all ! i got one myself just plug it up the computer and record in some program like cooledit pro

there are lots of good reliable mics for $75 - $150.

you should try the AT2020 from audio technica.

probably the best one regarding to price/quality ratio. (new for 100 $)

this is a great mic for a starter.

a nice pre-amp with vacuum tube :

Art Tube MP ( around 60 $)

Cap_ill sugestion is great too.
