I ahve a 2kxl and have a few pro sample cd's what do i need to do to em to install em on the mpc?
do I have to change the format in sound forge or simular?

You can sample them from your PC to the MPC using the RECORD IN or u could just load them up. Place that cd in your PC and save those files to your harddrive. Then save them to your media u will be using(floppy, zip, ect..) Also if the files are .wav or .snd then they will need to be converted.

Or you can connect a scsi cdrom drive to your mpc 2kxl and read straight from the cdroms.

Your best bet is to go the PC route. SCSI CD Drives usually give peeps trouble when tryin to read those type of sample cds BUT IM NOT SAYING U CANT DO THAT. Just get the sounds u need off the disk and put them on another media source that your mpc can read(floppy, zip, ect..) or once again as I stated just sample the sounds from the PC's OUTPUT to the RECORD IN on your MPC.
