my set up connection needs help (pls asap)

This is my set up:
mpc 2500
proteus 2000
oxgen 8 midi keyboard ( is it me or when i go down a octive to like d2 it wont record on the mpc)
monitors
behringer mixer
turntable
edirol ua 20 (only has 2 audio outs left and right)

ok usually i just use cool edit pro and jus connect my av(audio and video u know the one u use on tv and music set) and have it go from my behringer mixer cd/tape output going into my mic input on my laptop lol and record the beat like that.

but now i wanna start using cubase sx now how should i have everything set up cus i wanna be able to reord my mic on cubase sx3 and i dont know if how i got it set up is wrong!!
should i have the mpc go in to the interface or should my mixer and if it goes like that will cubase record my hits on mpc etc pls help if this makes sence as soon as im online now smoking a spliff holla

The more direct the signal the better. The sooner you get the mpc in the recording source(computer,ADAT,cd recorderor whatever else) the better.When it passes through other components before it reaches the recording source it loses a little signal in each component. It is called second and third or fourth generation sound.I would go from your mpc straight into your computer. With the mpc 2500 you should have some kind of usb in and out it seems like. You got all that exspensive music gear and your signal path is crap... that is a waste of money . I would focus research and learn about your options on this signal path issue and remember nomatter how dope whateverit is you are making in the Mpc if you cant record it loud and nice and put it on cd, then what you made does'nt really matter.
