anyone ever use digi 002 with a pc with 1gb ram?

i no digidesign recomends 2gbs of ram to run protools, but i was wondering if anybody has ever used the 002 with only 1 gb of ram.
if so, where there any problems with latency or anything whatsoever due to the lack of ram?
my next purchase is gonna be the 002 (most likely), and my computer has the stock 512 mb of ram, which im gonnna upgrade to 1gb.
anybody have any input?

I have a dell with 1GB of RAM and I've never had a single problem. Actually it's 512 MB recommended but once you start installing/using plugins it's gonng take a lot of processing power. I had waves plugins and it was cool untill I upgraded to the waves diamond pack. The start up/loading is SLOWWWWWWW but only when I start up PT--not when Im recording. So 1 GB will do.
