Best way to EQ samples for 2000xl

Best way to EQ samples for 2000xl

Hi they call me Dj pound....i got my 2000xl 3 years ago, but havent really used it much until about last year, because of my other sampler of choice the korg ES-1.
But now im determined to master the 2000 like i mastered the ES-1.
But im kind of hesistant to drop 300 bills on the EFX card.
So im content with using a simple EQ mixer board like a mackie or something. But when it comes to actually processing the sounds and then sampling them back into my 2000, i become confused.
Lately ive just been using my ES-1 as my Effects processor and than resampling the sounds back into the 2000....but the EQ on the ES-1 is limited.

Any help and or suggestions on how to EQ easily and properly would be much appreciated....much thanks

WEL mfkn COME, to the boards.

First, the eq is actually a filter on the eb16 board, your better of with an eq on a mixer, trust that... The eb16 does what it does without competing with other eq's and effects cards cause it's so cheap but you get more than your moneys worth imho... UNDERSTAND, most people compare that little card to BIGGER name brand eq's and that's just wrong. Look at it for what it is, an inbox alternative to an expensive outboard eq, AND it has lots of power if you mess with and learn it's quirks and capabilities..

If you are looking for a "bigger and better than everything else out there eq", look elsewhere.

Me, I couldn't live without mine inside the box.. It makes a WORLD of difference to me on a stand alone mpc2kxl.

thanks for the advice lampdog.......I think eventually i will get the EB16 card, but that may be a minute. I got my eye on this nice little mackie EQ mixer at guitar center around my way, they want $125 for it.
But like i said before my confusion arises when it comes to actually applying EQ to a particular sample and than putting it back into my 2000, using just a turntable, an EQ mixer and my 2kXL.

Its probably just a simple procedure, but one im really unfamiliar with at this point.......

Vinly -> eq mixer -> sample into your 2kxl.
Done.
