I have a old yamaha dgx 205 which uses usb for midi in/out.. .. ... is there any way i can use this keyboard to play sounds from my VST on the pc and record the sounds i am triggering with my keyboard onto the MPC? Is there some kind of converter i could get? thanks

here are the specs FOR THE DGX 205

Interface USB MIDI IN/OUT, USB Song Transfer
Auxiliary Jack Phones, DC in, Foot Switch

im asking because if i could somehow use this then i could return the m-audio 88es back and get some decent studio monitors

Yes that keyboard can still be used for Controlling purposes. But you would actually need either an MIDI interface or soundcard with MIDI that way you could take the MIDI OUTPUT from your PC to the MIDI IN on your MPC.
