Im a newer user to my mpc 1000 but have gotton to the point where i need some software for novices, any recommodations??

that depends on what you want to do and how much you want to spend. software runs from free to some thousands. you can get full fledged studio software, or simply multitrack software.

on the free side, google audacity 2.0

inexpensive, fl studio (which i use and recommend, get the producers edition, $150)

then you have pro tools, cubase, acid, soundforge, nuendo. there are a few out there. ive only used light editions of acid and soundforge, and tried a version of cubase, but fl studio is easier to learn, so i can get my tracks rolling. thats just an opinion.
