1. select empty mixer track
2. go to the audio options and select your soundcards asio driver, if your soundcard does not have asio, download the drivers from www.asio4all.com.
3. select the input on the empty mixer track
4. arm the track by clicking the disk icon on the bottom of the empty mixer track
5. name the recording
6. hit r on your typing keyboard or click the record button
7. hit spacebar or play and record
make sure that you are running instrument lines from the outs of the mpc to the ins of your soundcard/interface.
