anyone have any tips on the mpc 500???

i just bought an mpc 500, i am using both garage band and protools on my mac. just curious if anyone has any tips or suggestions. i can cut up samples on my computer with audacity and load them into my mpc, but i am curious, again, if anyone has tips to get me going. thanks.
