MIDI INTERFACES AND MIXERS

i have a akai mpc 1000 and a m-audio delta 1010 soundcard
first i want to know about mixers i need a mixer to run everything threw turntable monitors mics ect i need a good behringer mixer with enough outs for all this
second i want to know about midi interfaces do i need one beacuase i have a keyboard but i want a better one but i want to use them both
i dont want a usb midi interface i read they lag and some computers dont pick them up but i cant find one that is not usb or is there a way that i can split the two main cables on my soundcard to a splitter. like the two from my soundcard to a box that has two main inputs and it will take my two main from my soundcard and turn it to more midi in's and outs some one told me it called a midi merger and is a midi merger what i need to do that

1.) Actually, if you have the 1010 you really dont need a mixer. You would only need a pre-amp for your turn table to run it in to the 1010. I would reconsider on the purchase of a behringer mixer i personally havent heard or read the greatest reviews.

2.) Midi interfaces............. better explained at tweakheadz.com, and i have a midi interface/usb interface, the lag you refer to is called latency and that depends on the type of computer in regards to how efficient it is.

3.)There are midi mergers that will allow you to split cables to further complicate your set up, but before you buy somethin make sure you know what you have and what you exactly need. gearjunkies.com has info on midi mergers and how much they cost.

but to be honest with you the best thing to do is check out tweakheadz.com, check the guide, research midi more so you understand how it works then make your moves.

what type of pre amp the ones that conect to the dj mixer or a mic pre amp or power amp
and i just need a mixer for the monitors

You definitely need a DJ mixer for your turntable. You'll never get full power without it. Then you plug your DJ mixer into the mixer that you are considering getting or like Mike Dugan said, you should be able to go right from your DJ mixer into your 1010 soundcard.
