with a firewire/usb mixer can you?

can you record each channel as a seprate track at one time...like my triton and my mp with 8 outs all going to seprate tracks.being recorded on the computer..or do i have to get an interface and a mixer to do that?

dont get a usb mixer they are too slow.

Yes...you can track each channel separately all at once. You need a good multitrack software to do it (audition/cool edit, nuendo, sonar, etc)

USB mixer will only give you 4 channels
