ws up fam i need some here i have a mpc1k/reasons/yamaha mw10 usb mixer & protools with the mbox 2 & when im done with my track theres too much hiss could any1 tell me what im doing wrong or why im getting so much hiss...


my radium49 to mpc 1k to yamaha mw10 to mbox 2 !

you might want to consider a hum elminator, or power conditioner, one I posted below seem to be pretty good. Heard some good things bout it from people at motifator.com. Not a hiss specialist, hope this helps.

I've been thinking about this lately too....do they really work good enough to justify the price???

Turn the volume or mute the channels of your devices 1 at a time to isolate the problem. I could be any of a number of factors, but hiss usually lies in one piece of gear.....

and as usual, Lamp's advice is golden. I was getting a hiss from my 002 to my monitors, and in talking with Lamp' came to the conclusion that I need a conditioner....just ordered one the other day.
