Okay, I have reason 3.0 using it with my 2kxl. My question is being that I am I'm connecting these two together, do I have to have a EFX Board. Or I can just use the regurlar 1/4 jacks to connect a MIDI interface. I dont know if it may sounds silly but i'm wonding becuase now that i'm trying to covert or connect my hardware to my software, will both of these work togther. I hope someone can help with this.

here's how it works: MIDI and audio are totally different. they each require their own set of cables. if you want to take full advantage of using both, you have to set up both!

you will need some sort of MIDI interface for your computer. you will also want to send the audio signal from reason to MPC and vice versa, so you may need an Audio interface for the computer as well.

this really makes sense if you think about it, right? most electronic instruments have both MIDI and Audio ports, so if you want to use your computadora as an instrument, it will need both too....

as nicole suggested, watch that video!
